Mitchell is the principal of Devine Legal.
Mitchell holds a Bachelor Degree and a Masters Degree in law from the Queensland University of Technology and was admitted to practice as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1994.
Mitchell is accredited by the Queensland Law Society as a Specialist in two areas of Law; Personal Injuries and Workplace Relations.
From 2008 to 2018 Mitchell was a member and chair of the Queensland Law Society Workplace Relations Specialist Accreditation Advisory Committee. He is a current member of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
Mitchell lectures in employment law at the Sunshine Coast University.
He has been recognized by the respected Doyle’s Guide in the category of Leading Employment Lawyers Queensland in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 for both employer and employee representation.
Since moving to the Sunshine Coast in 1992 Mitchell has practiced exclusively in his areas of accreditation and has dedicated his career to the service of his clients.
Mitchell is an avid golfer and enjoys the cycling and coffee culture of the Sunshine Coast.
